Jungin Park (BDS Otago NZ)

After qualifying in Dunedin, Jungin did a short stint for the NZ Army in Waiouru, before finally settling down in Auckland. He has been serving the dental needs of South Auckland – notably working in Papakura, Takinini, and Pukekohe. He has a special interest in difficult extractions (including wisdom teeth) and provides IV sedation for patients. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors mountain-biking & kayak-fishing – anywhere but home!

Carin Burger (BchD Pretoria RSA)

After proudly graduating as a dentist in Pretoria in 2000, Carin helped providing dental care to rural communities in the Eastern Cape before joining a large family dental practice in East London. In 2008 Carin moved to NZ with her husband and 2 kids to become kiwis and worked in Tauranga and Auckland. Carin is passionate about dentistry and has joined the Southern Care Dental team in 2018 to continue to provide the best possible care to her patients in a warm and friendly environment. Away from work she enjoys running , reading and movies.

Yun Lee (BOH Otago NZ)

Patients often praise Yun for his positivity and encouragement in achieving excellent oral health. He takes pride in creating a relaxed, supportive environment where everyone feels informed and confident about their treatment plan.

Yun firmly believes that great workmanship stems from precision, clear communication, and a gentle approach. He understands that procedures like scaling can sometimes be uncomfortable, but his focus is always on minimising discomfort while delivering the best possible results.

A proud University of Otago graduate, Yun earned his Bachelor of Oral Health in 2017. Since then, he has built a successful career as an Oral Health Therapist, with experience in Christchurch, Whangārei, and Auckland. Now back in Auckland, Yun continues to provide exceptional care to his community.

Outside of work, Yun enjoys staying active at the gym and unwinding by the beach, often trying his luck with fishing.

Cleo Kwon (BOH Otago NZ)

Cleo graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Hygiene in 2016. Since then she has worked in a variety of settings – both in private and public. She has experience with treating young children and adolescents, and enjoys providing expert Hygiene care for her patients, and has a special interest in orthodontic treatment.

She believes in a holistic approach and considers every treatment in the best interest of the patient- not only regarding their teeth but their whole well-being also. She enjoys learning new technology and techniques that she can use to provide her patients with a more effective and pleasant dental experience.

Outside of work she loves being adventurous whether that be trying out new food, sports, and hobbies

Support Staff

Amandeep (Practice Manager)

With over five years of experience as a Practice Manager, Amandeep has joined the team at Southern Care Dental. She enjoys interacting and building relationships with our patients. She is passionate about delivering great customer service and take great care that all our patients have a wonderful experience. She brings in diversity and a fresh new way of thinking to the practice. Away from the practice, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading a good book, and watching movies.

Mandy (Clinical Co-Ordinator)

Mandy joined the Southern Care Dental family in 2020. She brings with her years of front desk dental experience, and works hard to ensure the best experience for all patients from the initial phone call. Her efficiency and ongoing enthusiasm to learn new skills has made her an asset to our team. She is an avid dog lover, and spends a lot of time outdoors with her furbabies.

Kristen (Senior Dental Assistant)

Originally from South Africa, she now calls New Zealand home. She has been with Southern Care Dental since 2018. She has progressed from being a junior position, to now being experienced in all facets of dental care to support our patients. She has also obtained her certification in supporting our dentists in providing Dental Care under Intra Venous Sedation.

Her favourite pastimes are spending time with her family and children, as well as reading whenever she can.

Preeti (Dental Assistant)

Preeti moved to New Zealand with her family to enjoy a more balanced lifestyle. Being from a business background, she has flourished in providing support care for our dentists. Her warm caring nature, and eagerness to learn new techniques has made her an asset to the Southern Care Dental team.

In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and children. She also loves to cook and often brings ethnic delicacies for us all to enjoy at work.

Aneesha (Dental Assistant)

Aneesha joined the Southern Care Dental team in 2024. Originally born in Fiji, she is fluent in both English and Hindi.

Her quiet determination, and willingness to learn all things dental has made her a great addition to our team.
