Jungin Park (BDS Otago NZ)

After qualifying in Dunedin, Jungin did a short stint for the NZ Army in Waiouru, before finally settling down in Auckland. He has been serving the dental needs of South Auckland – notably working in Papakura, Takinini, and Pukekohe. He has a special interest in difficult extractions (including wisdom teeth) and provides IV sedation for patients. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors mountain-biking & kayak-fishing – anywhere but home!

Lorraine Lim (BDS Otago NZ)

Lorraine has worked in a variety of places after leaving Dunedin – all starting with a “P”! First Palmerston North, followed by Papakura, Panmure, Pukekohe, and lastly Papatoetoe. It’s no wonder she enjoys the ‘P’eople side of dentistry. She is a firm believer in treating the whole person and not just the mouth. She is currently working limited hours to pursue her post-graduate diploma in Paediatric (Kids) Dentistry in 2018 and 2019.

Amar Khosa (BDS Otago NZ)

Amar graduated from the University of Otago and worked as a Dentist in Whakatane before joining the team at Southern Care Dental. Amar enjoys making her patients feel as comfortable as possible through building warm, professional relationships where patients feel comfortable discussing their oral health needs with her. She is excited to have joined the friendly team at Southern Care Dental and to be back in the city with her family.

Carin Burger (BchD Pretoria RSA)

After proudly graduating as a dentist in Pretoria in 2000, Carin helped providing dental care to rural communities in the Eastern Cape before joining a large family dental practice in East London. In 2008 Carin moved to NZ with her  husband and 2 kids to become  kiwis and worked in Tauranga and Auckland. Carin is passionate about dentistry and has joined the Southern Care Dental team in 2018 to continue to provide the best possible care to her patients in a warm and friendly environment. Away from work she enjoys running , reading and movies.

Aman Kaur (BHSc (Oral Health Therapist) Otago NZ)

Aman is a qualified Oral health Therapist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Otago in 2012. Prior to joining Southern Care Dental, she worked in both Public and private practice in Palmerston North and Pukekohe. She has a kind and gentle nature which enables her to provide the best care for her patients. She loves working with both adults and children and considers building relationships the most rewarding and enjoyable part of her job. She enjoys learning new technology and techniques that she can use to provide her patients with a more effective and more pleasant dental experience.

Support Staff


Christine is married with three adult children and four grandchildren. She worked as an operating theatre nurse for both public and private hospitals. Her favourite pastimes are attending church, hiking, and spending time perfecting her garden.


Courtney is one of Southern Care Dentals senior Dental Assistants, who joined the family in 2017. She loves assisting with all surgical procedures and helping the dentists monitor sedated patients. She is part Maori and part Chinese which comes as a surprise to most people. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and fur babies.


Born in New Zealand, Jena has spent most of her childhood travelling around the world. She loves the field of dental assisting and learning new things. At home she enjoys spending time chilling with her pet cat.


Trained as a medical nurse in the Philippines, Mariekris first moved to Singapore, and has now settled down with her family in New Zealand. She joined the Southern Care Dental team in October 2019 and brings a wealth of medical experience to our team. During her spare time, she loves to cook and spend time with her family.


Originally from South Africa, she now calls New Zealand home. Her favourite pastimes are spending time with her family and snowboarding whenever she can. She is mildly addicted to Xbox gaming and shares that passion with some of the other nurses at Southern Care Dental! (On maternity leave)


Born in the Bay of Islands, Bonnie is very proud of her Maori heritage and is very close to her extended family from the area. She loves the spending quality time with her whānau, being at the beach, and her passion is sampling new and traditional foods and chasing the sun whenever she can. (On maternity leave)
